Individual skill assessment is not the focus of TBL. The question you need to ask yourself - for crafting TBL applications, what types of problems, situations, patient scenarios would you want your OT students to solve? Are there ethical issues (patient wants or doesn't want something - how to handle, colleague behaves in certain way), equipment issues (what if some are not working), what do they do if the get certain # on the equipment - do they just record, or are they supposed to interpret, manage, offer treatment options?
Beyond the actual skill of using the equipment - think of the situations where they may need to problem solve - and those can be excellent applications.

Subject: TBL with a Clinical Skills Class
I have one more class I want to convert to TBL, but I'm not exactly sure how. This class is a clinical skills class for occupational therapy students. It involves theory and skills such as: taking blood pressure, transferring patients, selecting and using mobility equipment.
How do I setup the application exercises to address the many types of equipment and their uses?
