I use this article with Medical Students. It works very well in this context.

Speaking of peer evaluations…
I’ve made great use of the items on the TBL site about to give constructive feedback. Does anyone have handouts or articles about *accepting* feedback?
I teach freshmen, and last year I had a few in tears because they’d never been critiqued before. (These were not outrageous criticisms; one overachiever was told she needed to trust other people to do their part rather than rushing in and doing the work.
She was heartbroken that they thought that.)
I do have them complete a self-reflection after they receive their team’s feedback, so that could be used as part of the acceptance process, too. Advice appreciated.
Thanks so much!
