There is the Value of Teams Survey from the Baylor College of Medicine, the attached paper from McMullen et al. reports on a study where it was used to assess psychiatric resident perceptions of TBL (the ref list will lead you to the Value of Teams survey). My colleagues and I will be using a modified version of the VTS with second year biochemistry and genetics students later this year. If you are having trouble sourcing the survey let me know, the authors of this paper very kindly shared the survey with us and with their permission I would be happy to share it with you also.

Kind regards

TBl-SAI (Student Assessment Instrument) is the only TBL satisfication instrument I know of. You can find information here:

I'm planning on using the SAI in my doctoral research. Per the article, I emailed the author for permission to use her instrument.

Thanks,

Subject: Student Perceptions

Hello All,

I am in the beginning stages of a research study involving student perceptions of TBL in an undergraduate capstone course. I was curious if anyone knew of any survey instruments or input on potential questions for the survey that would yield solid responses. I want the final product to be a very reliable instrument that can be used for a few semesters. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
