Dear Colleagues, This year some of us have taught with TBL in an online environment. Though challenging, it is probably one of the few positive outcomes that have come out of COVID-19 - the student engagement rates and learning outcomes in TBL classes can remain similar to those in a face-to-face classes setting. We have seen this in the 60+ online TBL methodology workshops we have conducted with median feedback ratings of 5 out of 5. As you get geared up for the upcoming semester, I would love to share best practices on how to move beyond emergency online remote teaching to an easy-flowing active and collaborative teaching using online TBL.
