There is big overlap in the nature of question they use and the
conversations they are hoping will happen.....TBL App Ex just in my thinking
give a really natural extension to the peer instruction process

I read a bunch of his stuff....when we adopted clickers at UBC

I know Larry has spoken of similarities in the questioning for peer
instruction and TBL

Got to go....Rap in 10 minutes

Jim

Subject: TBL goes to Harvard

Friends,

This week I will be meeting with Eric Mazurıs group at Harvard to talk about
TBL and its relationship to Peer-Instruction, which is what he uses and is
famous for.

For those of you unfamiliar with Mazurıs work, he has been a ground-breaking
leader in Physics education at Harvard for 15+ years. Getting TBL on his
radar is a huge thing for me, personally.

QUESTION: For those of you familiar with Mazurıs work and peer instruction,
what do you see as crucial overlaps and contrasts between TBL and PI?

Iıd like to do my best to represent the TBL community in this discussion. .
. .
