Optimize Learning Announces a New Online Workshop!
Getting Started With Team-Based Learning
Thinking of making improvements to your course this summer?
Optimize Learning is pleased to announce a brand new, two-week online workshop -- Getting Started with Team-Based Learning, developed by author and consultant, Jim Sibley, and based on his book by the same name that can help you improve your course.
In just 14 days you can have your first TBL course module ready and be well on your way to flipping your class using the proven Team-Based Learning method.
You will learn everything you need to get started with TBL right – how to get your students to consistently come to class prepared and how to build on that preparation to challenge your students to apply what they know to solve interesting, real-world problems, rather than only remember “facts” for a test. The TBL principles developed by Larry Michaelsen can be applied to any course regardless of subject matter or class size.
During the workshop you will come to understand the concepts and terminology of TBL– ideas and terms like the Readiness Assurance Process, IF-AT’s cards, the Appeals Process, Mini-lectures, 4S team application tasks, and Simultaneous Reporting. You will be guided through readings, videos, and applied activities that will enable you to systematically and methodically build a complete, well-integrated TBL module.
This workshop experience is delivered completely online and is facilitated by experienced TBL coaches. You will receive frequent, timely, and personal feedback and be able to exchange ideas and receive additional feedback from other course participants.
Register today and begin the exciting journey to reinvigorate your teaching with Team-Based Learning!
