Dear Esteemed Educators,

The Academic Medicine Education Institute (AM•EI) proudly invites you once again to join our Fellowship in Team-Based Learning (FTBL) 2019<https://www.academic-medicine.edu.sg/amei/faculty-development/amei.ftbl> intake, scheduled on the week of 22 to 26 April 2019!

UPDATE: As of Sep 2018, the FTBL programme structure and content have been realigned to meet the new TBL-certification framework by Team-Based Learning Collaborative (TBLC)<http://www.teambasedlearning.org/>. The course fees* have also been revised to reflect these changes accordingly.

*Register before 28th February 2019 to enjoy our Early-Bird promotion (20% discount off the course fees).
Please contact [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> for more information on the revised FTBL programme and course fees.

About the FTBL:

The FTBL is a comprehensive fellowship and Train-the-Trainer programme. This is a two year programme, consisting of 2 unique developmental series. The FTBL is designed for those who would like to seriously consider implementing TBL into their curriculum and would like consultation and guidance along the way in developing, implementing, and evaluating the activity. It will also offer a process by which one can get certified as a trainer of basic TBL and therefore suitable for those who have been asked to train others in this teaching methodology.

Series 1 introduces and trains on all the elements of preparing effective TBL modules – i.e. what they are, objectives, writing MCQs and applications, effective facilitation, and action planning. TBLC-registered participants can look forward to receiving the Knowledge of the Fundamentals of TBL certificate from TBLC.

Series 2 is an advanced course after one has attempted to run some TBL modules. It focuses on scholarship, peer review and feedback, and advanced facilitation skills. TBLC-registered participants can look forward to hands-on guidance and mentorship to help them achieve either the Practitioner of TBL or Trainer-Consultant in TBL certificates from TBLC.

Best regards,

Muhammad Yusuf (Mr)
on behalf of the Academic Medicine Education Institute (AM.EI),
Duke-NUS Medical School
