Beth: the only aspect of TBL I put online is the advance assignment. I believe some do the IRAT online, but the security challenges are large: students can find ways to work together or share questions. I don't feel the GRAT and applications can be done well apart from face-to-face teamwork with a faculty-facilitator present. (realizing technology for live conferencing is available, but I seriously doubt if it could capture the moment-by-moment communication and decision-making that happens within a team.) /PK
