Assistant Dean for Educational Resources
Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Albert Einstein College of Medicine invites applications for an Assistant Dean for Educational Resources who will focus on educational innovation and scholarship within our institution. The position reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  *   Promote the use of active learning instructional methods which will be utilized in our new state of the art large and small group active learning studios currently being constructed at our institution.
  *   Provide expertise and consultation on rigorous methods for designing medical education research projects for enhancing competency-based outcomes.
  *   Work collaboratively with the academic deans within the offices of medical education, faculty development, educational informatics, diversity enhancement, and medical student scholarship to further educational goals.
  *   Play a key role in the strategic planning process to build upon the College of Medicine's strong academic programs.
  *   Directly participate in teaching students and educational research as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:


  *   An EdD or PhD specifically in Education. MDs with significant training in education will also be considered.
  *   Have significant experience in academic medicine with a minimum of  5 or more years in higher education and administration.
  *   Proficiency in application of educational theory in developing successful innovative educational  programs.
  *   Demonstrate an excellent track record of designing and conducting learner-centered instructional methods.
  *   Possess a productive record of publishing and presenting original medical education research
  *   Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in complex interdisciplinary settings.
  *   Ability to effectively secure grants and funding for innovations or programing is a plus.
