Hello,
We use Examsoft at our University and our exam policy requires students to show the Green screen to the exam proctor prior to leaving the exam room. If they fail to do so they must wait until the proctor finds their submitted exam on the admin side of Examsoft.

We have been using Examsoft for years and have not witnessed, heard, or suspected any cheating similar to what you describe. Most of our students who use Examsoft use all of the available time for an exam. The only test security we use is that we have students sign out on a sheet of paper if they leave the room more than 10 minutes before the end of the exam. We can then check Examsoft to see that those students did not work on the exam after they signed out.

long line of ^3checkouts^2, simply take their device outside the class, look
something up, and either come back in to complete or submit the test from
the lobby.
