Dear Manda,

To develop undergraduates teamwork skills, the SATAL Program which involves trained students offers supervised peer-led workshops. During the workshop facilitation, to get students think about the roles they will play as part of the team, we use three activities: 1) undergraduates in their classroom, adopt superpowers and collaborate to respond to a natural disaster; 2) they think about real life situations that require team work such sports, medical field, etc; and 3) they build a group resume to identify the roles  they will take based on their skills and experiences. Here are the resources for the presentation: http://crte.ucmerced.edu/satal/peer-assisted-satal-workshops

I'm looking forward to hearing more ideas.
All the best,

Adriana

Dear TBLers,

Does anyone have an effective activity that has team members thinking broadly about the various roles of team-members?  I'd like to develop an activity that has team members getting to know each other and thinking about the various roles they may play within a team.

Manda
