Hi

I would love to get some feedback on a new handout set

I am doing a workshop for 250 in a couple of weeks….and wanted to consolidate my typical materials to reduce printing

The reading has been shorten to one page and the RAP and application activity are now on one page

Any feedback would be appreciated

I just purchased a book called Teaching Statistics: A Bag of Tricks by Gelman and Nolan, 2002, published by Oxford University Press to use in developing a statistics module for one of my classes. Maybe you would find it helpful.

Hi all,

 

I'm using TBL for the first time in a Science and Pseudoscience class. The class is full of Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who are really interested and engaged. They're also all non-scientists who have zero desire to take another science class ever again. None are pre-med/pre-health.

 

To my happy surprise, they requested that I alter the syllabus to cover some intro statistics! I have time left to squeeze in a R.A.T. and maybe a week worth of material. Can anybody recommend any good resources, especially in terms of good activities or online texts?
