Hi Amy,

Not only do I allow note-taking (only during post-rat learning activities),
I post both the questions and the question answers for students in our LMS
after class so they have them for the exam. I have been using TBL for the
past 3 years for my pediatric nursing class and surprisingly, students
don't share this information (or if they do, it does not impede
learning/discussion during our activities). I always tell them that
learning activities are "low stakes" - not worth any points, so sharing
them with their peers only affects their peers learning. They deeply
appreciate having both the questions and the key and they tell me they use
that to prepare prior to an exam. Just my experience!
