I also teach a TBL course at Iowa State. It’s a large lecture course (300 per section) and we had a hearing impaired student. We worked with Disability Resources and the student chose to self-identify. This allowed us to ensure that she would be in a team near the front of the room, with space for her captioner to sit as well. As far as I know, it worked well. Although these were not documented accommodations, we have also worked to be sensitive to mental health challenges (anxiety, depression, etc) and have included trigger warnings, instructions for self-care, etc on any units that could be difficult for students.
