• i-RATs assessment using i-clickers (box and application for smartphones etc.)- would love to hear about free options to keep costs down for students

• Applications assessment - team work on google documents where they organize their evidence before voting their team answer. This provides a document that I can go and give feedback on as I grade and I keep a rubric there to make the grading easier.  I have to say that it is often easier to grade a handwritten team application but students like the online feedback so they can go back for their midterm writing assignment and draw from the applications.  I know some folks don't necessarily agree that writing works in a team environment but in a core/introductory/general education course, students writing skills are pretty low so practice is good, and peer writing hopefully helps the weaker folks.
