Job requirements: A completed doctorate in the biological, physical, health sciences or related fields; college teaching experience; faculty and/or Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) development experience; ability to work effectively in settings of social and intellectual diversity; strong oral and written communication skills; and sensitivity to teaching and learning needs at a major research university.
Desired qualifications: Familiarity with current trends in biological, physical and health sciences education in the undergraduate, graduate, and professional school arena. Familiarity with the literature on faculty and GSI development and learning improvement. Experience with educational assessment or research. Experience promoting the effective use of instructional technology in teaching contexts.
