Hi Ron

With 3 hours my only goal is giving their beliefs a good shake and showing them how fun and powerful TBL is….the goals get more concrete when I go up to all day day, 2 days or 3 days

I still use Larry’s writing application activities from the original TBL book…..I like them because they give me a nice platform to have teachable moments where I can deconstruct the activity and reflect on all the learning

My materials are available at http://learntbl.ca/book/other-materials/ if you want to look

Down near the bottom is a new module on learning theory that I wrote in January (I have only used it twice…so far)…which can be a nice way to apply TBL to learning something of value

Jim

Hi Ron if you are a member of the TBLC you have access to the resource bank which should give you some good ideas and break the writing block

I'm very fortunate to teach to 3 hour class to other faculty about TBL. Of course, I want to teach TBL by using TBL, but I'm having difficulty developing a backward design. I usually struggle with this important development point, but I'm really struggling now.

What are appropriate applications that these "students" should be able to do? I know this is my course and thus my outcomes to consider, but my creative engine is stuck at the station.

Honestly, it would be much easier just to lecture about TBL!! <lol>
