I have the same response. If not there, no points for anything. I also allow them to drop their lowest RAT (both team and individual). We have also come to a compromise with RAT's since they were seriously struggling. They can use notes for the I-RAT (NOTES only - no actual readings). I figure if they do the work to make good notes, they can use them.
