I typically give online lectures rather than readings, but I agree in principle with Jim…I pared down my lectures to the "juiciest" parts to put them into more manageable sizes for the students and that seems to help them focus on the most important things. I will typically take some of the material I delete and move it into the discussion during application or RAT.
