Hi Jenny-

In general our faculty will give 1-3 minutes per iRAT question, depending on the nature of the iRAT. For example, "simple" MCQ are usually in the 1-2 minute range, but questions requiring modeling or calculations will be given a bit more time. Most of our faculty give 5-10 question iRATs for each TBL unit. Our students will typically have 10-20 TBL units per semester-long course, depending on the instructor's approach to the material. [Our entire curriculum is delivered via TBL.]

Subject: Length of time for RATs

Hello - we have allowed 20 minutes (plus 5 minutes extra time for those with registered extra time needs) for a 15 item MCQ test.  I'd be grateful to hear about length of time others have allowed.  Several students are complaining this is not enough time!

Best wishes

Jenny
