Hello Everyone, Let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Paul Gagnon and I am the Director of eLearning and IT Services at the newly established Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine here in Singapore. This is a joint medical school by Imperial College, London and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. A significant approach to the delivery of our curriculum will be TBL. Our initial intake upon door opening in August 2013 will be 50 students, increasing incrementally year by year so that within 5 years, optimally, we will reach an intake of 150 per year. I am seeking research information on the largest class size that anyone has successfully run TBL. My Snr Vice Dean is wondering if TBL can be run successfully with class sizes of 150 heading upwards to 200 and 250, and if there is supportive research evidence. I haven't run sessions of that magnitude so I have no solid evidence to comment upon. My sense is that with a properly configured learning space - not a lecture theatre as they currently manifest, and appropriate online technology the IRA/GRA could work? Any and all comments appreciated. Regards, Paul
