Friends,
"What's the deal with the TBL case bank again? Other teachers have shared with me so I'd like to contribute, but a 'case bank' sounds kind of formal and maybe like kind of a hassle."
Today on the TBLC membership committee call, we realized that folks might have questions about:

1) whether new/unfinished/imperfect material is OK to submit to the case bank, and

2) whether it is a hassle to do so.
So, here's some reassuring answers:

(1) Imperfect is OK!
As teachers, we benefited from the generosity of other teachers before us, so most of us like to share our stuff too. But we also might have the sense that some folks in the TBL world may been doing TBL longer or better or somehow "righter" and we might be shy about putting our stuff out there for folks to see. PLEASE do not worry about that! The TBLC works hard to keep the spirit of our organization collaborative and practical, not competitive or snooty. No matter how little experience you may have, you can bet there are folks out there with less, and your materials might really help them out.
Also, we are organizing a feedback process so that you might get helpful suggestions about how to make your stuff work even better in your own classroom. Won't that be cool, to get collaborative brainstorming feedback from others so you don't so much of a "tough it out alone" experience in your teaching with TBL? Submit your stuff, and get that ball rolling. :-)

(2) Submitting to the Case Bank is easy.
Whether they are complete modules, selected activities, or even just cool ideas, ou can add your materials to the TBL Case Bank. We provide a secure place for you and other TBL practitioners to safely and securely exchange curricular materials.

First, complete this simple release form<http://tblc.roundtablelive.org/Resources/Documents/CaseBankAgreement.rtf>. This gives the TBLC the right to hold a digital copy of your materials. You retain copyright and control of the materials and can ask for the materials to be removed from the Case Bank at any time.
Second, complete this submission form<http://tblc.roundtablelive.org/Resources/Documents/TBLCCaseBankEntryForm.rtf>. This is where you paste in your stuff!
Third, attach both those forms to an email and send it to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
That's it!

Don't forget, on July 1, Ruth will calculate who has submitted the most materials to the TBLC case bank and the winner will receive an at-cost, one-day visit to their institution by Larry Michaelsen himself!
