Sandy, Thank you for your thoughts. Apparently I didn't adequately explain how I am doing the RATs. I use an answer sheet and a separate question page for the iRAT. The answer sheet is collected for the iRAT score. Students keep the question page. Then I distribute the IF-AT form for the tRAT. Students are to turn in the question page and the IF-AT form together in the team folder. From the responses I've received, some instructors give a zero to the entire team, others to the individual only, when a question page is missing (not turned in). I would be more inclined to give the zero to the individual. But the concept is the same, there will be consequences for a missing question page. In asking the question, I guess I had hoped there was an easier, almost automatic, way to be sure students did not forget. I believe that because the answers are on a separate form (for both iRAT and tRAT), the students think that's all they need to hand in. But short of actually taking class time to check through all the question papers (not realistic!), I can't think of a way. As I stated previously, this has been a minor problem. It seems I am greatly over-thinking it! Thanks again. Dianne York, M.S., MT(ASCP) Lecturer, Biology Lincoln University, PA [log in to unmask]
