Upcoming TBL Event!

TBL Course Talk

On November 24 at 4 pm Eastern (3 pm central) the Team-Based Learning
Collaborative will be hosting its next ³Current Topics in TBL Webinar² with
an event profiling 3 TBL Practitioners. They will discuss many aspects of
their TBL implementations: how they do it, how they got strated, and what
they have learned along the way.

Francis Jones, from Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of British
Columbia, will talk about his TBL implementation in Geophysics for Engineers
and some meta-cognition insights he has had about TBL.

Dean Parmelee, from the Boonshoft Medical School at Wright State University,
will talk about the TBL implementation at Wright State undergraduate medical
programme and some of his experience consulting to help school around the
world implement TBL.

Pete Ostafichuk, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the
University of British Columbia, will talk about his TBL courses (both
undergraduate and graduate). His second year mechanical design has run for 6
years in TBL format.

There will be some time to answer audience questions. Jim Sibley will be MC

The session is open to everyone and all TBL skill levels. Come join us for
an interesting hour talk about TBL with the founder of team-based learning.
