Interesting. I would have not suspected cheating. The only one
that raises “suspicion” to me was answer 6. All others appear to start from
roughly the same point on the left and they scratched until the star was
revealed.
From the image I can’t see any anomalous scratches.
I also agree that a “cheating” team would have done a better job
at revealing the stars.
Any prior concerns with the team?

Jeez, that IF-AT would have raised my suspicion, too.
Scratched off by a sharp-shooter!
That said, if they were really cheating, it seems like they
might take extra effort to cover their trail and be sure to always scratch them
all off.
Still. . . I have never seen an IF-AT like that before.

Subject: Learning a bit about IF-Ats
Hi
We wrongly accused a student team of cheating on an IF-AT (see attached)
At first glance they seem to know where the stars were....partial scratches
just barely revealing stars
Turns out when we compared handness (i.e. Students that scratch from --
right, left and middle -- each has an anomalous pattern of
“coincidence”)
There still are some anomalous scratches on the attached IF-AT.....but it took
away our confidence to call it cheating
