DEADLINE REMINDER! Submission due October 1, 2009

Dear Colleagues:

The Team Based Learning Collaborative (TBLC) was originally founded as a
group of health science educators dedicated to using Team-Based learning to
further medical and health professions education.

In recent years we have expanded our mission to include the support of
faculty who wish to implement team-based learning throughout higher
education. Our recent conferences have included educators from a range of
backgrounds, and we have benefitted from their wisdom as we strive to share
teaching resources and promote the dissemination, evaluation and scholarship
of team based learning.

We invite you to the 9th Annual Conference on Team Based Learning in Higher
Education. The Annual <http://www.tblcmeeting.org/> Meeting presentations
take the form of plenary presentations, workshops, and posters. This year's
meeting, Co-hosted by Tulane University, will be March 4-5, 2010 at the
Lowes Hotel in New Orleans.

You are invited to submit proposal abstracts on any topics relevant to team
based learning. We are asking for 3 different types of abstracts. The
deadline for submission is October 1, 2009.

1) oral presentations-this would be for 10-15 minute presentations of
innovative projects or research.

2) Poster presentations

3) Workshops

Please note: "Workshops" are semi-structured learning sessions designed to
facilitate interaction and collective learning. Unlike the lecture format,
the interaction and discussion with the participants is expected to be
extremely lively, and preferably in the TBL format. They will be given to
smaller audiences and must demonstrate evidence of interactivity.

The formats for each abstract and instructions for submissions can be found
at the meeting website - http://tblcmeeting.org <http://tblcmeeting.org/>

We are looking forward to your submissions and hope to see you in New
Orleans in 2010!

Sincerely,

N. Kevin Krane MD, Program Chair
Tulane University
