Hi Don

Info on IFAT

http://www.epsteineducation.com/ifat.php

They are answer sheets that are somewhat like scratch and win
tickets.....student scratch off to check for correct answers and keep
scratching till they find it.

When used for the team tests......they reportedly have lots of
advantages........the group gets immediate feedback...right after their
discussion and decision......while the question is still fresh in their
minds

and......as Larry Michaelsen mentioned in one of his previous
posts.......the group dominator is one scratch away from being
wrong......and the quiet group member is one scratch away from being
validated

I am set to use them for the first time next week.......

Jim

Dear Larry and All

3 things

1. I receive the digest version of the listserv and it is almost
unreadable. Here is a typical selection of about 20 lines from the last
one. Could something be done about this?

2. Examples of RATS

I don't know about RATS but I do know that the most phenomenal multiple
choice questions I've ever seen are in the higher order sections of
Bloom's book A Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. They come from all
fields.

3. I'm new to the details of TBL. What re IF-AT answer sheets?
