There are studies on TBL; some related to academic performance, others related to attitude of students toward TBL. My dissertation research is a controlled study of TBL; I just completed my data collection this semester. I have already gathered a rather thorough list of TBL research for for my lit review. The TBL website has a list of published information on TBL. Some of them are more instructional chapters or summaries of TBL, and others are published studies.
