Hi all,

Because I am so horrible with names, and know first-hand how embarrassing
that can be, I require all of my students to exchange full names and contact
information with their team members as part of their first day's activities.
I tell them to pretend that they've never met each other before, even if
they have. This is not only rather fun, but also saves the students the
embarrassment of having to admit they do not know the name of a student that
they've had class with for the past four years! Unfortunately, it does not
save them from later embarrassment when they lose the contact
information....

Cheers,

Tammy Tobin
Professor of Biology
Susquehanna University
