Hi all,

If we accept that it is possible that the student is doing poorly because
they really do NOT understand the material, then just getting the answers
during the TRAT may not help much, no matter how hard teammates try to
explain things (they are not, after all, trained educators).  I think that
the only way to get at the real cause of the student's struggles is a
one-on-one meeting.  But, I would be very clear with the student that the
purpose of the meeting is to help clarify course concepts, rather than to
argue question interpretations. I'd also recommend tutorial services for
overall guidance with study and test-taking skills.
