Friends,

UT is embarking on a "Course Transformation" initiative, ala the National Center for Academic Transformation (www.thencat.org)

Importantly, this process is not about one-off's, but instead involves ALL the teachers in the many sections of large, introductory level courses. This is about helping departments change the *culture* of how their large, intro level courses are taught.

Does anyone on this list have experience with this process or these models? I am in the vacuuming-up-best-practice-ideas stage right now.

TBL is a natural fit for this, of course, but I am really looking for "been there done that" wisdom regarding the administrative/political process and how we might set up the proposal submission/review process and relationship management with the players involved.

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!

-M
