My best advice is to read Team-Based Learning: A Transformative Use of Small
Groups in College Teaching by Larry K. Michaelson, Arlette Bauman Knight,
and L. Dee Fink.

Subject: Mechanical Engineering Examples

I am interested in applying TBL in my Intro to Materials course. Does
anyone have some example group excersises that would help me design my own
assignments? The examples do not necessarily have to be materials related.

How long do these group assignments last? And what techniques have people
discovered to increase class discussion when groups present their results?

Thanks for the help.
