We use the CPS clicker system - students can go at their own pace. One
problem is the distribution and collection of the papers - quite time
consuming. Trying to think of an electronic way to distribute (and not
permit copying, downloading of IRAT/GRATs)
Regarding Applications - we tried the email process - but it was erratic
- once it took 2 days before the group's answer showed up. Perhaps
something like google docs or skydrive (MS docs) might work. Right now
we use whiteboards for each group (and papers).
What I would really like is some type of web-based IF-AT forms - that
way we would always have a new/unique "scratch" form (customized to
exam, rather than having to create code sheets) and make it
electronically score the responses too. That would be a great addition
to the process.

I don't know about using clickers in this way, but I do use eInstruction
CPS clickers for my iRATS and T-RATS. In the student paced mode, I turn
off the projector but I'm still able to report to each student their
score as they finish. Then as teams finish I use the study guide report
to let them now which ones they missed. So far it works pretty well.
