Wow, Kajal! Thank you so much. The immediate feedback is guaranteed by viewing accuracy, but what about the scoring that the team will also have to do? Will the teams have the chance to report a partial or full score after their last respective submission, knowing that we can corroborate the accuracy of their team score using the google sheet you are referring to.

This is so helpful if one wants, as you rightly said, to limit the number of technology platforms, and also use open source software, given the economic situation where I come from (add the pandemic). We are barely meeting ends, and we are determined to give our students the best.

This already helps a lot.
Best,
Michael

Hello Michael,

At the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, we have been using Google forms very successfully for the tRATs too. They work very well. The forms are set up to show correct / incorrect responses and allow resubmissions. Student teams submit their responses and then click on 'View Accuracy' to see what they got wrong. They then go back to submit another response and they redo the questions - even the correct ones.

The google forms are linked to a google sheet which records every response submitted with a time stamp. Partial points are calculated manually after the session by our wonderful ITTs (Instructional Technology technicians) from the submissions recorded in the google sheet.

Here is a mock tRAT form if you'd like to see how it works : https://forms.gle/v8yvutBK5neLqAQa8

We did quite a bit of experimenting with Google forms and the main idea was to limit the number of technology platforms that students have to sign into and provide them a consistent experience.

Hope this helps!

Kajal

Dear Colleagues,

I am so excited to be back on this list! Hope you're all safe and doing well.

I have a question: What open source software can I use for IFATS (tRAT) . I managed the iRAT through Google Forms., but tRAT and the partial immediate team score is what I am concerned about. Any guidance will be much appreciated. Thank you
