    Marina,

I use the attached document to have teams develop their own rules and consequences for not following the rules: Their Full Value Commitment to each other, or the team contract.

The rules and consequences listed in the document were developed by their peers in previous semesters and serve as examples, but they are also allowed to select from these list. They can, of course, develop their own rules/consequences if they want to. I have found that giving them these examples greatly speeds up the process and most teams are happy with it.

After they select/create their rules and consequences, each team member signs the document and it stays in their team folder. In 18 years of using TBL I have had less than a handful of instances where I had to point to the FVC and the rules and consequences they agreed upon.

    Best

    Subject: Classroom agreement

    Dear colleagues,

here I am again, asking for advice.

At present I'm writing an introduction page in our Moodle system which explains

to new students what they should expect from the TBL course and what I expect

from them (in Italian we call it "classroom Agreement", I don't know the

English name, it is a sort of committment in which the student is told what he

is expected to do - arrive on time, study for the iRAT and tRAT tests,

participate in the team discussion, etc etc).

Since I'm completely new to this thing, I was wondering if someone would like to

share some examples of a "classroom Agreement" or some important factors to

    indicate in this form.

    Thank you very much
