As some here also do, I use small whiteboards for teams to report their
answers simultaneously. They're not real cheap at $10 to $15 each, but I
found a workable substitute. Home Depot (and presumably other such stores,
but I had no luck at Lowes), sell "smooth panelboard" in 4'x8' sheets for
about about $12. It is brown on one side but the reverse is white and very
smooth. A dry-erase marker writes fine and erases great on it.
For another $2 Home Depot trimmed half of this sheet into 16 one foot
square boards. With some erasers from Staples on-line store for $3 each
and dry-erase markers from school, I'm set. I also got some liquid board
cleaner from Staples.
