I think one of the most important things that students can learn from TBL is that, "WE can do things that even the best of us couldn't do alone." The best tool we have to teach it is the comparison of the individual and team scores. In my judgment, ANYTHING that would detract from that learning opportunity should be avoided like the plague. For me that would definitely include ANY opportunity to review between the individual and team tests. Further, some choose to give the iRAT on line to save class time but, I think the cost (i.e., watering down the iRAT vs. tRAT comparison) is not even close to an equal trade off.

On a related issue (this may have been addressed before). Do you allow
students to look at notes or material between the iRAT and T-RAT? Since
I allow those who finish early to take break (so they won't talk so much
in class while others are finishing) and, I can't police the hallways,
bathrooms or cell phones (some of my student have their textbook
available on their iPhones) so I don't even try.
